Maidstone Men’s 4th XI remain undefeated this season after a 5-0 victory away at Ashford.
Maidstone struggled to find their rhythm in the early minutes due to poor weather and lapses in discipline that saw Maidstone captain Mark Bourne sent to the sides for a spell. Bourne later re-joined the game to earn man of the match and make amends for his previous indiscretion.
An Ian Lowe hat-trick and a goal each from Andy Moodie and Mark Weller ensured a comfortable victory in the end, but Maidstone will still need to improve if they are to realise their league winning aspirations.
