Ken Dulson - 80 Not Out!

Ken Dulson - 80 Not Out!

Ken Dulson, President is 80 this week.

In the early 1950s, Ken started playing his hockey for a team at the old YMCA in Loose. Then, when he started working at Reeds he established a Mens' 2nd XI. He played and umpired there for around 30 years and has a wealth of experience of the 'hospitality' associated with hockey.

Never one to turn down the offer of a beer, he took up an invitation to join Maidstone's umpiring team in the 1980s. For many years he was the Ladies appointed umpire for their Kent League matches, and continues to support them and all the other Maidstone teams at home matches. Although he hung up his whistle several years ago, his stopwatch is still in service at most home matches.

As President, he welcomes the opposition teams which is respected and commented on across the Regions.

Congratulations, Ken, on your 80th.
